Synagis injections
Beginning in the month of September and continuing through March, Nurses to Go will begin administering Synagis injections monthly to those pediatric clients who qualify. Synagis is used to prevent RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). Qualifications may include: premature birth, auto immune disease and/or children with lung or heart problems. Usually, RSV causes mild, cold-like symptoms, such as a runny nose and fever. However, in some babies, the symptoms can quickly get worse. Call your healthcare provider if your baby has these symptoms: persistent coughing, wheezing (a whistling sound when breathing), rapid breathing, problems breathing or gasping for breath, and to see if your child would qualify for Synagis.
